Preparation for the 2026/27 season began in early July at the Academy base in Shchaslyve. During pre-season, Oleksii Bielik's side supplemented their training programme with friendly matches (one win, one draw and two defeats), with the head coach aiming to distribute playing time evenly among his players.
Shakhtar U21 squad is built around the core of last season's U19 side that won the youth league title.

Kudrivka U21 coached by Oleksandr Akymenko prepared for the youth league in Buzova. During their pre-season training camp, the Hawks played friendly matches against Kolos U21 (0-1), the Kyiv region team (2-0), Shakhtar U19 (2-1) and Kharkiv U21 (0-1).
Kudrivka youth team are built around players who competed in last season's U19 National League, where they finished 14th.
