Shakhtar Stalevi continue active preparations for the new season and their debut in the Ukrainian Amputee Football Cup

On February 21–22, Shakhtar Stalevi held a training camp dedicated to preparation for the new season. Over the two days, the amputee footballers followed an intensive programme focusing on physical endurance, ball work and team interaction. During the camp, the coaching staff also assessed new potential players, and based on the results, several of them will be included in the squad for the upcoming season.
We have drawn excellent opponents, and we need to prepare thoroughly
Bohdan Bilko, head coach:

– It’s clear that the lads were happy to see each other and had missed being together. We are preparing for the new season. During the draw for the Ukrainian Cup, everyone followed proceedings closely. I can say we have drawn excellent opponents, and we need to prepare thoroughly. We are training intensively with double sessions, including theoretical work, analysing our mistakes, working on tactics and focusing on the upcoming matches.
We are building our fitness and aiming to start the Ukrainian Cup as strongly as possible
Dmytro Mykhasiuk, defender:

– The emotions from the training camp are positive. We are building our fitness and aiming to start the Ukrainian Cup as strongly as possible. During the theoretical sessions, we worked on correcting mistakes, and the coaching staff highlighted areas that need improvement. We followed the draw and are pleased to have been matched with such strong opponents. We have to show our fans a high quality of play to advance further.

The Orange-and-Blacks will begin the new season in early March with a match against Pokrova AMP-2 Lviv in the debut Ukrainian Amputee Football Cup.
