The Miners approach their second pre-season friendly
Shakhtar’s winter camp in Belek, Türkiye, lasts exactly three weeks. On Wednesday, February 4, the team under Arda Turan conducted two intensive training sessions.
Both sessions took place on the football pitch. In the morning, the Orange-and-Blacks focused heavily on ball work and also completed a series of integrated exercises. At the end, the coaching staff prepared unusual and interesting game tasks to lift the players’ spirits.
The evening training was more traditional. After starting with a warm-up, the team then worked on ball possession in squares, as well as game and tactical elements. At the same time, goalkeepers followed their own programme under the guidance of Emrah Karakovan and Andrii Piatov. To finish the session, everyone played together on half of the pitch.

We remind you that tomorrow Shakhtar will play a friendly against Riga (Latvia). The clash will take place in Antalya, with kickoff scheduled for 16:00 Kyiv time. Friendlies of the Orange-and-Blacks at the training camp are streamed on Shakhtar’s YouTube channel and FC Shakhtar mobile app (App Store and Google Play) in the Live section.
