Shakhtar footballers continue active preparation for the second part of the season, training at the Academy facility in Shchaslyve.
On Friday, February 6, the Orange-and-Blacks began the session with an intensive warm-up, which included a series of fun exercises focused on developing decision-making speed. The footballers then moved on to practising game elements, finishing the session with a shooting drill.
Viktoriia Shevtsova, defender:
– The training week has been quite intensive. The team focused mainly on improving shooting, ball control and recovery.
– This Sunday, Shakhtar will play a friendly against Yunist Chernihiv. What are you expecting from the match and what can you say about the upcoming opponents?
– We prepare for all opponents in the same way. We will try to implement on the pitch the tasks we have worked on during training. Overall, friendlies are very important as they allow us to see which areas need improvement.
– What are the main demands from the coaching staff during the training camp?
– The head coach insists that we show more individual skill. We are also working on improving possession and game control.
