The Miners have begun preparations for the second part of the season
Shakhtar’s winter training camp in Türkiye has officially kicked off. The players and coaches arrived in Belek the day before, and today, January 15, the team held their first training session of the new year.
Before the start, head coach Arda Turan addressed his players with a speech, welcoming everyone to the Orange-and-Blacks’ camp and outlining the work plan for the upcoming period. The manager of the Pitmen also carried out a pleasant and honourable duty by presenting awards to last year’s winners. The prizes were presented to Shakhtar Player of the Year Dmytro Riznyk and scorer of the team’s most beautiful goal Newertton according to fans.
Although the training session was intended to ease the players back in, it was quite intensive. Over the course of an hour and a half, the footballers completed a thorough warm-up, carried out running drills, played the traditional possession squares, as well as worked through several exercises with the ball. It should be noted that Dmytro Riznyk, Marlon Santos and Marlon Gomes trained according to an individual programme.

On Friday, January 16, the team will continue their preparations and will practise twice in one day.
