The Miners continue their preparations for the resumption of the season in Türkiye
On Monday, January 19, Shakhtar footballers returned to work after a day off. After giving the team a day to recover, today the coaching staff led by Arda Turan prepared a series of demanding physical tests for the players.
In the morning, the players completed exercises on strength machines to assess the power of their arms, legs and abdominal muscles. The process was overseen by the fitness coaches, while physiotherapists monitored the data. In the evening, testing moved to the pitch: the Orange-and-Blacks carried out specialised running drills focused on speed and endurance in groups of five. It is worth noting that the goalkeepers were working to their own programme at the same time under the guidance of the goalkeeping coaches.
The highlights of the team’s working day can be seen in the photo gallery.
Tomorrow, the Pitmen face an extremely intensive training day at the winter camp in Belek. Follow the news at shakhtar.com and on the club’s social media pages.
