Shakhtar women’s team are preparing for the first pre-season friendly
Shakhtar footballers continue their preparations for the second part of the season at the Academy facility in Shchaslyve and are approaching their first friendly match.
On Wednesday, January 28, the morning session began in the gym, where the Orange-and-Blacks carried out activation exercises for all muscle groups to prepare for further workloads. Later, Shakhtar footballers moved to the indoor arena and, after a running set, started working with the ball. The Miners worked on improving the quality of their actions in the final phase of attacks, as well as on ball control, alternating these drills with speed relays.
Nataliia Chendei, forward:
– The team are in a great mood as we prepare for the second part of the championship. We are gradually increasing the workload, so I hope we will approach the matches in proper physical condition. We also aim to improve our emotional state in order to achieve positive results in the future.
– A friendly match against Polissia lies ahead. What result are you targeting and what role do friendly games play in the preparation?
– Of course, we must demonstrate attractive football in terms of both individual and team actions. Polissia are good opponents with talented players, so I’m sure the match will be interesting.
The highlights of the training session are available in the photo gallery.
The women’s team will play the friendly match against Polissia this Friday, January 30. The game at the indoor arena in Shchaslyve kicks off at 12:00.
