– Shakhtar women’s team claimed a confident win over Polissia in their first friendly match of the pre-season. What is your summary of this encounter?
– Without doubt, it is the result of the work carried out during the training camp and an outcome that is not yet fully reflected. However, judging by the organisation of the play and the result, it is clear that the team are genuinely making progress. I hope that we will enter the second part of the season as a more competitive side.
– It seemed that the team implemented almost everything that had been planned in this game. Are you satisfied with the interplay between the players?
– The girls are improving every day; we are working on that. Above all, there must be trust from each player in her teammates. We are all pursuing one objective, so we emphasise that the final result is the outcome not only of the entire team’s work, but also of each individual footballer. They understand this and try to make use of their opportunities to achieve a positive result, which is encouraging.
– In fact, there were different line-ups in each half. How informative was this match given the extensive rotation?
– I’m convinced that any player who was nominally part of the second line-up would not have dropped out of the game had she started from the outset. Each footballer meets the required level of technical and tactical preparation to compete for a place in the starting line-up.
–Tell us more about the preparation plan for next week.
– The girls will have two days off, after which the training process will resume, but we will be working with one session a day. At the end of next week, we will play a friendly match against Yunist Chernihiv.
