Summing up the traditional fan poll
Midfielder Alina Starukhina has been recognised as the best player of Shakhtar women’s team in 2025. These are the results of the vote on the team’s official social media pages, where fans chose the winner by leaving a comment with the surname of their favourite.
In the final ranking, Starukhina received 248 votes and edged out defender Yeva Balatska (226 points) in a closely fought contest. Also goalkeeper Liudmyla Ustinova (136 votes), defender Sofiia Lutsan (124) and midfielder Viktoriia Holovach (46) made the top five. 859 respondents participated in the poll in total.
Alina Starukhina has received the Shakhtar Player of the Year award for the first time. She has played for the team since the first season in 2021 and has so far made 61 appearances for the Orange-and-Blacks (4 goals). In 2025, the midfielder featured in 23 competitive matches for Shakhtar in the Ukrainian Women’s Vyshcha League and the Cup.
