On July 25, the Miners will play their fourth friendly match at the training camp in Slovenia
Shakhtar's opponents in the friendly will be Saudi First Division League side Al-Ula. The game kicks off at 19:00 Kyiv time. By agreement between the teams, the match will be played over two 30-minute halves.

Al-Ula FC was founded in the city of the same name in 1981. For many years, the team competed in the lower divisions of Saudi Arabian football. However, the situation changed dramatically in June 2023, when the club came under the ownership of the Royal Commission for AlUla. Following the change of ownership, the squad underwent a major overhaul. In the 2023/24 season, the Leopards won the Saudi Third Division, before claiming the Saudi Second Division title the following season to secure promotion to the Saudi First Division League for the first time in the club's history.
In the 2025/26 season, Al-Ula finished fourth in the league (34 matches, 71 points, goal difference: 72-33). In the Saudi Pro League play-offs, the Leopards first overcame Al-Orobah before losing to Al-Diriyah after extra time in the decisive match.
Al-Ula are managed by experienced 66-year-old Portuguese coach José Peseiro, who has been in charge since January 2026. During his career, he has coached Sporting CP, Porto, Panathinaikos and the national teams of Venezuela and Nigeria. Al-Ula's squad includes Saudi Arabia international goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais, while the defence is marshalled by Serbian centre-back Matija Nastasić, best known for his spells with Fiorentina and Manchester City. The most prolific players last season were Greek forward Efthymios Koulouris (23 goals and 4 assists) and Argentine midfielder Cristian Guanca (18 goals and 14 assists). According to Transfermarkt, the most valuable player is Brazilian winger Michael (estimated value is EUR 2.8 million).
During the summer pre-season, Al-Ula played a friendly against UPL side Epicentr (0-0), and a few days later the Saudi side will take part in the Como Cup, where they will face Italy’s Como and Spain’s Villarreal.
