Shakhtar newcomer Ryan Roberto gave his first interview as a team player
– Welcome to Shakhtar! What were your first emotions when you found out about the club’s interest?
– I was very happy and felt extremely proud. When I learned about Shakhtar’s interest, I realised that it was a great opportunity for my career. It is a club with great traditions in European football, so such trust became additional motivation for me.
– Why did you decide to join Shakhtar?
– I chose Shakhtar because I believe in the club and what it can offer me. I know that many Brazilian footballers have developed here, achieved great goals and built successful careers – I also want to become part of this history.
– What do you know about the club and its history?
– Shakhtar is one of the most successful clubs in Ukraine, has won many domestic trophies and regularly competes in European tournaments. It is also known for developing young talented players and has dedicated and passionate fans.
– Have you already spoken with the coach or your new teammates? What are your first impressions?
– Yes, I have spoken with several players, and it was a very pleasant conversation. My first impressions are great: I saw a united and professional team working hard every day to achieve great results.
– Can you describe yourself as a footballer for Shakhtar supporters?
– I’m a player who always wants to score goals, help the team and give everything on the pitch. I’m very competitive, work hard and I will fight to represent Shakhtar’s colours in the best possible way in every match. And, of course, the fans can expect plenty of positive emotions from me on the football pitch.
– What goals have you set for yourself at your new club?
– I want to progress as a footballer, win trophies, help the team with goals and quality performances, and continue developing together with the club. My main goal is to bring joy to the supporters and write my name into Shakhtar’s history.
– Would you like to say anything to Shakhtar fans?
– I would like to thank them for the warm welcome and say that I’m very happy to be here. I will work with maximum dedication every day to proudly defend the colours of this club. I hope to experience many special moments together with you. There are big goals ahead, and I’m confident that we can achieve them together!
