Khodosivka Lyceum was the first to receive sports equipment within the You Are the Hero of Children’s Dreams project implemented by FC Shakhtar’s charitable foundation Shakhtar Social and the club’s fuel partner, the filling station chain under the Parallel trademark
The Shakhtar Social foundation, together with its partner Parallel, is implementing the You Are the Hero of Children’s Dreams initiative aimed at supporting youth football and developing sports infrastructure in educational institutions across Ukraine.
We believe that investment in children is an investment in Ukraine’s future. Football is not only a sport, but also health, discipline and team spirit, which shape a new generation. That is why we launched a joint initiative together with Shakhtar Social and FC Shakhtar
Natalia Nikeshyna, Marketing Director at Parallel:
– We believe that investment in children is an investment in Ukraine’s future. Football is not only a sport, but also health, discipline and team spirit, which shape a new generation. That is why we launched a joint initiative together with Shakhtar Social and FC Shakhtar: from every drink purchased in a charity cup at filling stations under the Parallel trademark, UAH 2 goes to support youth football. The funds raised will help provide children’s sports schools with essential equipment.
Within the project, Khodosivka Lyceum was the first to receive new sports equipment and training gear for physical education classes. The handover took place with the participation of representatives of the initiative’s partners and FC Shakhtar goalkeeping coach Andrii Piatov.

Children always bring joy and warmth, and I’m very happy to be here. I support such initiatives and try to bring joy to children as there were no such opportunities to communicate with or meet an idol in my own childhood
Andrii Piatov, FC Shakhtar goalkeeping coach:
– Children always bring joy and warmth, and I’m very happy to be here. I support such initiatives and try to bring joy to children as there were no such opportunities to communicate with or meet an idol in my own childhood. I’m glad to give them positive emotions, and they, in turn, inspire me. Children today are going through difficult times and living in the conditions of war, so it is important to help them disconnect from everyday challenges and engage in sport.
Andrii Piatov personally presented a set of sports equipment, including footballs, training bibs and coordination ladders, enabling children to develop their skills, train and play football. During the event, young athletes had the opportunity to speak with Andrii Piatov, ask questions, take memorable photos and receive autographs from the Shakhtar coach.
Tymofii Kushnir, a pupil of Khodosivka Lyceum:
– I like football because it is a very interesting game. I usually play as a right-back. I’m full of emotions about this event and I’m very grateful to Shakhtar and Parallel for coming and delivering the equipment, and for giving children the opportunity to play football and develop.
The You Are the Hero of Children’s Dreams project launched in April and provides systematic support for school football across different regions of Ukraine. As part of the initiative, sports equipment is being delivered to educational institutions.
Each customer of the national filling station chain under the Parallel trademark can support the social initiative within the “coffee fundraiser”: by purchasing any hot drink in a charity cup marked You Are the Hero of Children’s Dreams, customers contribute UAH 2 to the social project.
