– We paid a lot of attention to preparing for the match, understanding that nine players from Metalist 1925 had been involved with the Ukraine national team and that virtually the entire starting line-up of the national team is made up of Metalist 1925 footballers. Our main task was not to concede an early goal because after that it becomes very difficult psychologically. To a certain extent, the air raid alert even worked in our favour: we used that time to reorganise, make adjustments and explain our actions in particular situations. The second half was certainly a little easier, as we scored a goal that gave us an emotional boost and we began to keep the ball better. It is precisely in matches like this that a team are formed, so I hope we will see results in the future. At the moment, it is clear that we still lack the necessary confidence to make the right decisions.

– The clash with Kryvbas will be decisive as the competitive and relegation groups will be determined following it. How important is the next game?
– Every match is important for us, regardless of the opponents. We respect all teams and approach them in the same way. We will try to impose our own model of play and, of course, will aim to secure important points given the team’s position in the standings.
