Shakhtar defender Marlon Santos answered journalists’ questions during the press conference ahead of the return leg against Lech
– What do you expect from tomorrow’s match?
– Everyone knows that a big game awaits us tomorrow. It’s a final for both us and them. We respect our opponents and, of course, will do everything possible to win.
– What are your thoughts on Lech as your opponents?
– They are a strong team, and we have a lot of respect for them. We know that tomorrow they will press and play for the result. But we will stick to what we have been doing throughout this season.
– What was the most difficult part of the previous match against Lech Poznań for you personally?
– The first game was very important to me. It was a tough match, without a doubt, but thanks to the coach’s strategy and the players’ actions, we were able to achieve the desired result. Yes, the match was challenging as the atmosphere and everything around created difficulties. But Shakhtar’s support was also at a high level.
– Which Lech Poznań player impressed you most in the previous match?
– The forward, number nine. He is a very strong player.
– You probably know that any team are capable of a comeback. Which aspects of Lech Poznań’s game did the coach focus on?
– Of course, we expect aggressive play. We will be ready for that and will try to maintain our own style.
