We secured a crucial three points

– Good evening! I want to emphasise the importance of today’s victory, especially in light of our tournament results and the goals we’ve set for this season. Of course, I’m pleased that despite all the difficulties surrounding this match, we still managed to secure a crucial three points. For teams that play the style of football we do, it’s very challenging to perform under such circumstances: I’m referring to the 13:00 kickoff and the fact that the pitch was far from ideal. Naturally, this complicates the technical aspects for footballers of the attacking quality and calibre we have at our disposal. Nevertheless, despite these difficulties, I’m extremely satisfied that the players showed character and managed to take a very important three points regardless of the factors affecting the game. We scored a bit late, but the goal was extremely important and delivered the necessary win. I’m happy with both how the match unfolded on the pitch and the result.

One thing I’m not happy with today is the refereeing. I feel I need to emphasise this because we were genuinely frustrated by certain incidents on the field. In my opinion, the referee did not award two clear penalties in our favour in separate situations. I just want to highlight this issue and make it clear that we are disappointed with how the referee handled a few key moments.
