– Lucas, you have scored in the second match in a row and against such key rivals as Dynamo. What are your impressions after the game?
– I’m extremely happy and I thank God for this opportunity and blessing. The Clasico is always full of incredible emotions, and the most important thing is that we secured three important points, which bring us closer to our main goal – the league title. I’m glad to have scored and helped the team.
– In the second half the team noticeably stepped up. What made the first half more difficult?
– We were slightly out of our usual playing rhythm in the first half, we lacked sharpness. However, Arda always finds the right words in the dressing room, and it often works in our favour after the break.
– Experts analysing your goal noted the actions of Prosper and Traore. Who do you feel most grateful to in that attack?
– It’s a collective effort from the whole team, I can’t single anyone out. We train together and go through everything together. Probably Traore because he provided the assist and that always goes into the statistics. But I’m also extremely grateful to Prosper for the excellent start to the move.
– There was incredible joy after the final whistle and the derby win. Will this victory give you extra motivation ahead of the semi-final clash with Crystal Palace?
– Absolutely! The fact that we managed to hold on to the victory is a very important moment for us. A very difficult challenge lies ahead and we understand what we will face. At the same time, I fully believe in the team. I have a 100 per cent belief and we will give everything to try to turn the tie in our favour.
