Shakhtar footballers resumed their preparatory cycle after a short rest ahead of an away fixture against Seasters

On Tuesday, May 5, Shakhtar women’s team began training with active aerobic work, focusing on preparing the muscles for further loads. The players then moved on to ball exercises to work on control and refine tactical elements. The session concluded with a small-sided game within a limited part of the pitch.

Oksana Henyk, defender:

– We have started preparing for the next league match. First, we worked in squares, then moved on to the game phase, where we focused on mistakes and tactical elements.

– You will play against Seasters, who are currently in the European zone, in the next round. What are your expectations for the match and what can you say about the opponents?
– Seasters are a team that sit in the leading positions in the table and have quality players who are called up to the national team, as well as a strong attacking line, so we will try to impose a fight on them.

– Did the victory over Vorskla in the previous round affect the team’s mood?
– The victory over Vorskla was important as it gave us confidence. I hope we will continue in the same rhythm. All teams have ups and downs, and it is not easy emotionally. There are strong opponents in the top five, so it is good that we managed to focus and win the previous round.

The highlights of the training session are in the photo gallery.

We remind that this Friday, May 8, Shakhtar women’s team will face Seasters away. The match at the Chornomorets Stadium kicks off at 13:00.
