We looked decent even with ten men

Shakhtar midfielder Yehor Nazaryna shared his impressions of the UPL match against Dynamo
– Yehor, what are your thoughts after the goalless draw?
– It was an interesting game, both for us on the pitch and for the fans in the stands. There was a red card, but despite that, I think we still dropped two points today because we looked decent even with ten men. The opposition didn't have any clear-cut chances, while we could have done enough to score. We had chances in the first half and should have taken them. This is the third match in a row now – we had chances against Inter, then failed to score against Sporting CP, and today our finishing let us down again. So, with all due respect to Dynamo, I think we dropped points today.
– We have to ask about these red cards – in the cup match and now. Is this a new aspect of the Clasico emerging?
– To be honest, I didn't see the red card, but it's a derby, emotions run high, and perhaps Vinicius Tobias was a little short on experience in that situation. You can't get a red card like that in a match like this. Despite that, I think we put in a good performance on the pitch.
– How did you want to play after the sending-off? What did you change? Because it seemed you were uncomfortable.
– It's always uncomfortable when you're playing with ten men, but we tried to defend and look for an opportunity, perhaps to break forward, we had two set pieces and could have made something of them. There was also a chance when Alisson broke forward – that was what we were hoping for when we were down to ten men. So even in those circumstances, we could still create some chances.
– You have a lot of matches and travel. How do you feel, are you more physically or mentally tired?
– I wouldn't want to complain because we're playing in the Champions League, and that's every footballer's dream. We're representing Ukraine. But it's not easy, I'll say that. We have everything we need to recover, and the club does everything it can to make our journeys comfortable and ensure we have everything we need to recover while travelling, so I'd have no right to complain.
– Is playing more matches always better?
– Well, when you're playing in the Champions League and the domestic league, if you can add positive results to that, it would be even better. I'm sure that if we continue playing as we have in our last two European matches, but pay attention to certain details, the positive results will come.
– And now it's time for the national team. So, if we understand correctly, you're getting straight on the bus and heading to Uzhhorod?
– We practically live on the bus, so that's fine. It's not as far to Uzhhorod from here as it is to London.
