Shakhtar midfielder Oleh Ocheretko reflects on the Ukrainian league match against Dynamo Kyiv
– The score was 0-0, but you played with ten men. How are you feeling after the match and what can you say about it?
– I'm disappointed because we dominated in the first half, attacked, created chances, played our passing game and everything was working. Then the red card had a huge impact, but Tobi only has himself to blame. After the sending-off, we couldn't control the game the way we wanted to, we had to focus on getting a result because even one point is important.
– It was clear that after the sending-off you'd have to move away from your usual style. What was your plan for getting a result and, in particular, scoring a goal?
– We wanted to break forward on the counter-attack, fight for every ball and create more chances up front so that our forwards could hold the ball up and play on one-on-one.
– Both teams started the match at a very high tempo, playing with great intensity. How difficult was it to keep up that pace and how much did fatigue after the Champions League game affect you today?
– You know, there will be fatigue, but despite that, you have to play football – that's it.
– You're now heading off to join the national team. Are you feeling well after this match?
– Everything's fine. The doctor checked my knee. Something happened when I fell, but it's all right, I'm ready.
