Match build-up
With 21 points from 8 matches, the Orange-and-Blacks go into their clash with Zorya U21 as the outright leaders of the youth championship with a game in hand. In their previous matches, the Pitmen came out on top against Kolos U21 (2-0) and Chornomorets U21 (5-0), but suffered a defeat against LNZ U19 (3-4). It should be noted that the Miners had little time to prepare for the match as most of the squad, along with the coaching staff, had been involved in the UEFA Youth League fixture against Inter U19.

Match background
The opponents have met 29 times at youth level: the Orange-and-Blacks have won 17 matches, 7 have ended in draws, with the Luhansk side proving stronger in 5 games.

The home side scored twice more early in the second half: Mykytyshyn got on the scoresheet first, and two minutes later Kobak grabbed his second of the match. Zorya tried to fight their way back into the game, but Turbaievskyi was assured in goal.
