Shakhtar Social and Parallel: gifts and a football tournament in Bila Tserkva

Shakhtar Social and the club’s fuel partner, the Parallel-branded filling station chain, donated sports equipment to Bila Tserkva Secondary School No. 16 named after M. M. Zakharov as part of the You Are the Hero of Children’s Dreams initiative
On Tuesday, October 6, in Bila Tserkva, the Shakhtar Social charitable foundation and the club’s fuel partner, the Parallel-branded filling station chain, held a football tournament for primary school pupils and donated sports equipment to Bila Tserkva Secondary School No. 16 named after M. M. Zakharov as part of the You Are the Hero of Children’s Dreams social initiative.
Pupils from Years 1 and 2 took part in the tournament. The children played a series of matches, with the tournament giving them an opportunity to gain new sporting experience, demonstrate teamwork on the football pitch and spend their time usefully.
The special guest at the event was Shakhtar women’s team captain and Shakhtar Social ambassador Viktoriia Holovach. The footballer supported the tournament participants, spoke with the children, signed autographs and took part in the winners’ award ceremony.

As part of the tournament in Bila Tserkva, the winners received medals, while the school received sports equipment. It is important to continue holding similar events, as they support children and sport in general.
The donated sports equipment will help make PE lessons at the school more varied. The children will be able to use it during sports activities and have more opportunities for active leisure.

The You Are the Hero of Children’s Dreams project is aimed at the systematic development of school football in different regions of Ukraine. As part of the project, educational institutions receive sports equipment.
Every customer of the national Parallel filling station chain can join the initiative within the “coffee fundraiser”: by purchasing any hot drink in a charity cup marked You Are the Hero of Children’s Dreams, customers contribute UAH 2 to the project.
