ECOGAME: sports eco festival in Ladyzhyn

The ECOGAME project’s eco festival brought children, coaches and parents together through sport and environmental education
On September 19, an eco festival was held in Ladyzhyn (Vinnytsia Oblast), as part of the international ECOGAME project, bringing together 90 children and 110 coaches, parents, partners and guests around sport and care for the environment.
The programme combined sports activities with games and challenges focused on environmental issues. The children tested their knowledge of the world around them, competed in teams and learned more about responsible attitudes towards natural resources. The participants also included children from the ECOGAME location in Uman, who are already familiar with the format of the sessions and train regularly as part of the initiative.

– The children from Uman travelled to Ladyzhyn, where they took part in the ECOGAME festival. We regularly hold training sessions as part of this important initiative, and the children enjoyed completing the tasks and learning more about the importance of protecting the environment through sports activities.
ECOGAME is an international project that combines environmental education with football, volleyball and swimming training. The ECOGAME Digital Toolkit has been developed to promote environmental awareness through sport and teamwork. It includes games, educational materials and practical activities for children and coaches.
The ECOGAME – Gamified Eco-Learning Framework for Children’s Sports project is being implemented as part of the Erasmus+ Sport programme with co-funding from the European Union. The project is coordinated by Shakhtar Social, with TSO KOLOS (Ukraine), IRSiE (Poland) and IONAS (Greece) as partners.
