I practise Shakhtar's style of play

- Welcome to Shakhtar, Neven! What was decisive when you accepted this offer?

- Having learned about Shakhtar’s interest in me, I got really excited and interested in this because Shakhtar is a great club and representing it is a great privilege. The first thing I told it to my parents. Playing here is a great opportunity for me.

- You’ve already worked under the guidance of Igor Jovicevic. Did he influence your decision?

- Yes, of course, I have already played and trained under his guidance, and partly my decision depended on his influence. But even if he hadn’t been here, I would still have joined Shakhtar, because it's a very good club.

- In what particular way can you be useful to the team? What are your strengths?

- I am the kind of player who practises Shakhtar’s style: I like to play football with lots of touches, passes and movements. I think I can help the club and contribute to its success.

- What player number will you have?

- I used to play under the numbers 17, 20 and 30. The last two were occupied, so I picked number 17.

- Have you already met new teammates? How did they receive you?

Yes, I met the guys. Previously, we met on the pitch many times. There is also a language barrier, so I need to improve my Ukrainian in order to communicate freely with them. But all the guys are positive, we have a young team – we’ll have very good communication.

- What would you like to say to Shakhtar fans?
