At least Shakhtar will definitely not rise higher or drop below the second spot in the table - the team finally secured the Champions League qualification berth in the match vs Minaj (4-0) three days ago. Although it is also important to end the season with a victory as the Miners had fewer of them this league season than they wanted to.

On the matchday’s eve, Shakhtar trained directly on the NSC Olimpiyskiy pitch instead of Sviatoshyno. The session lasted for about an hour: the Miners practised crosses with finishing and played a small-sided game. Taras Stepanenko has earned four yellow cards and has been serving a suspension, not preparing for this match.

By the way, Shakhtar have not yet met with Inhulets at the league level. The teams were supposed to end the past calendar year by playing in Kropyvnytskyi on December 13, but the match did not take place due to the pitch unavailability, therefore the Miners had to return to Kyiv, with the Petrove-based club being deemed to have lost 0-3.
