On August 20, Shakhtar held a recovery session
The victory over Lviv strengthened the team’s standing and added confidence before the next important match.
On August 25, on Miner’s Day and Donetsk City Day, Shakhtar’s home ground in Kharkiv will host a game vs Mariupol. The Donbass derby promises to be interesting: the Mariupol side have completed their European campaign and can focus on the domestic championship now. The training session began with a warm-up and squares, then they divided the Miners into two teams. Some players regained strength by performing fitness exercises, while the rest honed shots on target and organised a mini-tournament.
Midfielder Viktor Kovalenko resumed training in the general group after being out for several weeks. The team captain Taison is also back. Another Brazilian, the midfielder Tete, has recovered from a cold and is ready to work on. As for Dentinho, he is expected to be back tomorrow.
