Shakhtar goalkeeper Oleksii Shevchenko answered the questions from reporters before playing Oleksandriia
- Did your two clean-sheet apps in the starting line-up give you more confidence?
- Yes, it’s good that we secured the clean sheets. The whole team kept a clean sheet actually: the guys helped me, and now I really feel much more confident.
- What’s your attitude towards the third-best club in the league?
- Oleksandriia are rather powerful opponents, with some tall players – they are in the third position for a good reason. We are very serious about it, we will soon conduct the theory sessions, in which the coaches will tell us how to operate.
- Looking at the calendar, in which round could you become the champions?
- No, it's too early to talk about that. We just prepare for each match in the same way.
- Which of the forwards of Oleksandriia should you be wary of the most?
- As for me, that’s Sitalo. He is tall, with great headers and excellent speed.
- After the past round, Taison posted on Instagram a photo featuring the Lviv players acting pretty tough against him. And how hard is it against Oleksandriia?
- Nobody likes when the opposing players are running away from them at high pace, you could say, just dragging them through it. Everyone has self-esteem, respectively, everyone gets irritated and tries to act tougher, especially against the Brazilians.
- Did the draw against Dynamo surprise you?
- Nope, because Oleksandriia are a very good team, capable of taking away points from any opponents. We were not surprised.
- Do you lose motivation due to your advantage over the Kyivans?
- Of course not. Our coaches and older teammates don’t allow us to relax.
- Will you appear in the starting lineup against Oleksandriia?
- I still don’t know how the coaching staff will decide. I'm ready. If necessary, I can play both defensively and offensively.
- Has Pyatov recovered now?
- Yes, Andriy is training in the general group.
- Did you watch the Champions League yesterday?
- Of course, I did. A very good match that proves once again the fact that you should never give up, you need to play against any opponents.
