Shakhtar defender Ismaily speaks about his milestone appearance for the club, the game vs Dnipro-1, and the Europa League
- Ismaily, you’ve made your 200th appearance for Shakhtar. Can you believe that you’ve reached this figure?
- I’m happy to have made so many appearances for the club Shakhtar! Not everyone manages to do so, and I’m very proud of it. I’m glad that together with the team I played at different arenas worldwide - both in Ukraine and abroad. We’ve achieved a lot, and I want to thank the fans for their support throughout those truly happy seven years.
- Probably, you experienced special emotions while taking the pitch?
- Right, of course! I wanted to mark this event with my excellent performance and to score, but, unfortunately, I was a little hasty at certain moments. Most importantly, we won and continue topping the league table with an excellent lead.
- Did you expect it to be so easy against these opponents?
- I expected a more balanced play against the strong opponents. But I believe that it’s our team who actually made the match easy. We were in a great mood and started well, we managed to score early goals, which allowed us to calmly continue the match.
- Are you looking forward to the upcoming UEL encounter with Wolfsburg or you aren’t yet thinking about it yet?
- Not yet, because we are facing another league game - we want to claim a win. Only after the meeting with Kolos we will think about Wolfsburg (tickets are available).
