Shakhtar footballers Serhii Bolbat and Viktor Korniienko gave an online conference for the Come On, Let's Play! project participants

This is the third online chat with kids via Zoom. The first such event was attended by David Khocholava and Oleksii Shevchenko, the second one hosted Anatolii Trubin.

In touch with the first team

The online conference involved 17 children - those who sent their applications and met the age criteria - from different settlements of the country: Lviv, Kharkiv, Toretsk, Odesa, Dnipro, Zadnistryanskyi, Kryvyi Rih, Chuhuiv, Kostopil, Horshni Plavni, Poltava, Kyiv, Vuhledar and Zhytomyr.

“It was interesting to listen to the guys! Some of the questions were a little naive, but I also used to get interested in such things as a child. Most of all, I liked the question of the goalkeeper guy from Dnipro about how to prepare and psych up for the match. All those guys play football. They are interested in the way the player career develops,” said Serhii Bolbat. “I remember that they published the Shakhtar newspaper in the past, not even a magazine yet, and I knew the names of all the players and staff in it by heart. I dreamed of talking to someone from the first team. It's great that the current technology enables children to get in touch with us. It was cool!”

Traditionally, the children to have posed the most interesting questions - Mykhailo and Yurii Verheles (Toretsk), Anastasiia Zayets (Poltava), Myron Kryachok (Dnipro) and Danyil Hordeev (Kostopil) - received books about football autographed by the Shakhtar players.
