First training session in Istanbul

On Friday April 8, the Miners conducted a session on the training pitch near Istanbul Basaksehir’s stadium. The session was introductory and aimed at restoring the footballers’ fitness. Shakhtar’s coaching staff are currently assessing the state of each player.

The training session was attended by the players of Shakhtar first team and those of U19 side, along with FC Mariupol ones: goalkeepers Anatolii Trubin, Oleksii Shevchenko and Tymur Puzankov; outfield players Mykola Matviienko, Valerii Bondar, Yukhym Konoplia, Andrii Buleza, Maryan Farina, Oleksandr Drambaev, Danyil Udod, Mykhailo Mudryk, Artem Bondarenko, Petro Stasyuk, Dmytro Myshnyov, Denys Shostak, Maksym Chekh.

Shortly, on April 9, the Miners will play a charity match against Olympiacos as part of the Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace. The encounter will take place at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens. The game kicks off at 20:00. The live stream will be available on Futbol 1 channel, and on the club’s official channel on YouTube.

All proceeds from the sale of tickets for matches and advertising will be transferred to the defenders of Ukraine, volunteer organizations, doctors, and also spent on aid to the Ukrainian children affected by the war.
