In an interview with Shakhtar TV, the goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov spoke about his winter vacation, the plans for training camps and goals for the rest of the season

- We managed to rest, recover, enjoy our time with the family, to patch it up so to say. We are fired up for a good and fruitful training camps, because we must retain our league position, plus to deliver a good performance in the Ukrainian Cup.

- How did you spend your vacation?
- My family and I went to Finland, we got a little cold. They have a pleasant winter there, with lots of snow, we did some sledding and skiing. Everyone is happy and refreshed.

- Did you manage to recharge your batteries after a busy season involving the European Championship? Taking into account the play-offs of the Ukraine national team in the summer, you may well stay without any rest again.
- Indeed, last season turned out to be hectic. After the Euro, we rested for literally two days and went to the team's training camp, upon returning we had three more days off just before the league season kickoff. Plus, I rejoined the national team, which also affected the plans. Nevertheless, the rest was fruitful, I’ve recharged my batteries before getting back to work!

- What’s your major motivation now, given that there’s still a lot of time before the season resumption?
- To get in shape, to go through the training camps. I want us to have fewer injuries so that the guys approach the league campaign being fully available. You have seen how injuries sometimes change the game and just give the coaches more headache.

- How was the medical?
- Everything is conventional, they examined the most important organs: the heart, the gland, they x-rayed the lungs and took blood samples...

- Shakhtar will again go to Turkey for the training camps, to the well-known place. Do you feel at home there?
- Yes, a good hotel, there are all conditions for training. I think this is a perfect place, with many opponents for friendlies and excellent fields.
