We did not deserve to lose

– Valerii, how do you assess this game, and why were you unable to take advantage of the opportunity when Inter were reduced to ten men in the second half?
– Because they are a very good, highly skilled team, the champions of Italy. I do not think it makes any difference to them whether they play with ten men or eleven. It is a disappointing defeat that, in my opinion, we did not deserve today.

– What do you think was the reason we conceded the goal? Could it have been avoided?
– Conceding goals, especially such unnecessary ones, can always be avoided. But we lost the ball and did not have time to react. They played a good pass behind me, the opponent ran onto it and scored.

– In the first half, within the span of a few minutes, you had two set pieces and two shots, one of which was very dangerous. Is it a pity that you did not manage to convert that chance?
– It is a game of chances: they converted their chances, and we did not.

– What lessons should we take after today’s match ahead of the upcoming Champions League fixtures?
– We should avoid making mistakes to prevent disappointing defeats – even against teams like Inter.
