Shakhtar U19 won all of their 8 league games, topping the league table with 24 points. Interestingly, over nearly a year and a half, the manager Andres Carrasco has not suffered a single defeat in the Ukrainian League, with the Miners’ unbeaten run in the domestic arena reaching 40 games. The Orange-and-Blacks are also the best for the number of goals (32), with 12 of them belonging to the midfielder Abdulla Abdullaiev who is topping the scorers race, going one goal clear of Dynamo’s Vladyslav Vanat.
  
This is a reminder that Shakhtar U19 also play in the UEFA Youth League group stage, having met with Dinamo Zagreb U19 in a 1-1 draw.

- The schedule is really tight, and we are ready for that. The players understand what kind of match they are facing on Sunday, being motivated to the maximum. We have a slight advantage in the table, but the schedule for the coming weeks is challenging: a game vs Dynamo, going away to play Volyn, a meeting with the strong Vorskla. Plus the UEFA Youth League. However, I feel confident about my team: the guys are in great shape, which they show through their performance. Now is the demanding moment for us to play perfectly well.

Currently, the Kyiv outfit are sitting in the fourth spot in the table with 21 points (goal difference of 32–4), with Shakhtar, Vorskla, and Oleksandriia positioned above them (the latter 2 sides had more games). For Ihor Kostyuk’s boys, this is also the second meeting this week: on Wednesday, as part of the UEFA Youth League, they tied with the Albanian Shkendija 2-2.
